Family members at the scene identified former NFL and USC star Joe McKnight as the man who was shot dead and killed Thursday afternoon in Terrytown in what appears to be a road rage incident.
McKnight, 28, who prepped at John Curtis, played for the New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs.
The shooting occurred during an argument at an intersection, according to a witness.
