Well before the 2019 NFL free agency period kicked off, the biggest target for the New Orleans Saints was tight end Jared Cook. There were no statements to the media about it. The Saints, like any other team, are going to remain close-lipped about something like that. But there wasn’t a team in the league going into free agency that needed a tight end as badly as the Saints did.
Going into the 2019 offseason, the Saints had just three tight ends on the roster, not including Michael Hoomanawanui who is currently an unrestricted free agent likely not to be resigned.
