Nothing is official yet, in the sense that no contracts have been signed. Larry Holder of the Athletic described the situation as, “Basically dotting (the I’s) and crossing (the T’s).” But the New Orleans Saints have a new addition on the way, and he’s amped up to join the team: Oakland Raiders free agent tight end Jared Cook.
Jamison Hensley of ESPN caught up with Cook at an even recognizing winners of the NFL’s Ed Block Courage Award. The tight end gushed about landing in New Orleans. When asked about his expectations in working within a new offense, Cook replied that, “it’s going to be pretty awesome,” teaming up with quarterback Drew Brees.
