The New Orleans Saints outscored the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles 48-7. The Saints’ pass defense held Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz to 157 yards through the air and intercepted 3 of his passes. Running back Mark Ingram had his second consecutive 100-yards rushing game. They’ve forged a 9-game win streak and are without question the NFL’s best team.
The question is whether they can keep that positive momentum running into December, January, and maybe even February. If the offensive line continues to dominate up front, Drew Brees continue to throw like an MVP favorite, and the defense makes the right plays in the biggest moments, it’s tough to see them losing again from here on out.
