I did some film study from the New Orleans Saints loss to the Carolina Panthers, which put an emphasis on tight end Greg Olsen. Olsen torched Rob Ryan’s defense for 8 receptions, 134 yards, and 2 touchdowns. It didn’t matter who was put on Olsen, as he was able to find success on virtually everyone.
Not that it’s meant to point blame, but what do you see from the coverage looks? Here’s my observations from his targets:
First Olsen catch (18 yards) was all him. Vacarro with man coverage, played it well. Newton changed original play.
