Grading the New Orleans Saints top five offseason moves

The New Orleans Saints were forced to make several difficult decisions in the 2020 offseason.

Of those decisions, the Saints opted to let guys like linebacker AJ Klein, cornerback Eli Apple, and quarterback Teddy Bridgewater hit the market and depart in free agency. Klein went to Buffalo, Apple to Las Vegas and Bridgewater to Carolina.

The Saints also managed to restructure the contracts of several players including quarterback Drew Brees, wide receiver Michael Thomas, linebacker Kiko Alonso, cornerback Janoris Jenkins, and cornerback Patrick Robinson.

The Saints came into the offseason strapped for cash, but due to the championship mentality of the entire organization, it was able to create more flexibility.
