Jayrone Elliott wasn’t able to claim a spot on the New Orleans Saints’ 2018 roster, so he continued his playing career with the AAF’s San Antonio Commanders. He has been sensational in the spring league, and currently sets the pace for everyone else with 7.5 sacks. He raised that bar during a 23-6 loss to the Arizona Hotshots, providing his team a spark in an otherwise forgettable game.
But Elliott wasn’t up for dwelling on his achievement after the loss: “It really doesn’t mean much to me right now. I’d rather be up here talking about a win than a personal accomplishment, but this is going to be something that drives us to be better this week.
