Former LSU defensive lineman Anthony Johnson working to make Patriots roster

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Former LSU defensive lineman Anthony "Freak" Johnson is currently fighting for a spot on the New England Patriots roster.

Johnson signed with the Patriots in May after stints with the Miami Dolphins and Washington Redskins and he said he is doing what ever he can to earn a spot on the 53-man roster.

"Just keep working," Johnson said. "Show 'em I can play every position on the defensive line, which I can, and continue to show that and do it day in and day out."

He said he spent much of the offseason trying to get in shape and put himself in the best position to make the team.
