FOXBOROUGH, MASS. — The New Orleans Saints performed better than the New England Patriots on Day 1 of joint practice, but both teams will try to improve on Wednesday.
The first day of joint practice at the Gillette Stadium practice complex featured a stellar performance from Saints quarterback Drew Brees as well as some solid play by the New Orleans defense.
Interceptions aside, veteran quarterback is enjoying one of his best training camps
Unfortunately for the Patriots, the practice resulted in a couple of key injuries with defensive end Rob Ninkovich tearing his triceps and wide receiver Julian Edelman leaving early in the day.
