The New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers published their first injury reports of the week on Thursday. Here’s the notable absences and statuses on every injured player.

From the Saints

New Orleans had just one player sit out of their Thursday practice: tight end Erik Swoope (knee), who was later released. The good news is three starting offensive linemen were each eased through the early practice session – left tackle Terron Armstead (pectoral), left guard Andurs Peat (ankle, shoulder), and right tackle Ryan Ramczyk (shoulder).

Six different Panthers sat out of the week’s first practice, but the real story is with two limited participants: quarterback Cam Newton (shoulder) and defensive tackle Kawann Short (calf).
