FOXBOROUGH, MASS. — NFL players, especially those who've reached the status of Drew Brees and Tom Brady, often talk about everything except football when they're together.
When Brees and Brady met on the field Wednesday at the Gillette Stadium practice complex, though, they discussed a previous game when they shared a field in 1999 in Ann Arbor, Mich.
"We actually reminisced on that a little bit because the weather today was the exact same as it was for that game," Brees said, alluding to the pouring rain during Wednesday morning's practice. "So, Tom actually threw it out there, 'Hey, remember that game, Michigan-Purdue, in the Big House?
