WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — Drew Brees throwing one interception in practice is surprising.
Brees throwing four interceptions in practice is just inconceivable.
Yet, as the New Orleans Saints' defense dominated Saturday's practice at The Greenbrier, Brees' passes repeatedly ended up in the hands of defensive players.
"It was a rough day," he said after his four-pick day. "Probably one of the rougher days I've had in a long time, maybe ever — in a training camp practice especially."
Now, there's obviously no reason to panic about the performance. Coach Sean Payton didn't seem worried at all about the star quarterback, noting that not all of the interceptions were Brees' fault.
