WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. -- Rookie safety Vonn Bell started his first NFL training camp in pretty spectacular fashion Thursday, snagging an interception from New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees in full-team drills.
But Brees warned that he’d better not get used to it.
“Yeah, good for him. That won’t happen again,” Brees said with a laugh through somewhat gritted teeth.
But he did give the second-round draft pick from Ohio State his just due.
“I hung my eyes outside a little bit too long, and he got a good jump on it,” Brees said of an underthrown deep ball that was intended for receiver Brandin Cooks (shown here on the Saints’ Twitter account).
