Drew Brees' milestone notes from Saints-Giants game

  • QB Drew Brees and Giants QB Eli Manning combined for 13 touchdown passes, the most in NFL history for a single game. The previous record of 12 was also set in a Saints game, on Nov. 2, 1969 at the St. Louis Cardinals, when Billy Kilmer and Charley Johnson each threw six TD passes.
  • Brees' franchise-record seven touchdown passes tied the NFL single-game record, done seven times previously. The most recent seven-TD performance was by Nick Foles (then of Philadelphia) against Oakland on Nov.
