Who says that Drew Brees can’t throw deep anymore?
The New Orleans Saints quarterback linked up with wide receiver Cyril Grayson Jr. on a bomb to help close out the second practice of training camp on Saturday, finding the former LSU Tigers track star downfield. Grayson was able to turn on the jets and put some distance between himself and cornerback Eli Apple, one of the fastest players on the team, to get to the right spot at the right time and corral the pass from Brees.
It’s encouraging to see Brees still testing the Saints defense downfield after he struggled to connect with his receivers in the playoffs last season.
