Deuce McAllister joins New Orleans Saints radio network, will replace Hokie Gajan as color analyst

Deuce McAllister will be the new color analyst on the New Orleans Saints radio network, officials from the network's flagship station, WWL 870-AM, announced Wednesday.

The former Pro Bowl running back replaces Howard "Hokie" Gajan, who teamed with longtime play-by-play announcer Jim Henderson on the team's broadcasts for the past 16 seasons. Gajan died in April after a battle with cancer.

McAllister, the Saints' career rushing leader with 6,059 yards and 49 touchdowns, received widespread praise for his work in the booth during the final four games of last season when he filled in for Gajan, who underdoing chemotherapy treatments at the time.
