On Stephen A. Smith’s First Take Show on ESPN on Tuesday, Sep. 17, Smith reported that he had heard from former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s people and that they had been reaching out to teams having quarterback issues. Specifically they had reached out to the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Jets and New Orleans Saints, all dealing with significant setbacks only two weeks into the 2019 Season. 4
Looking at the situations for each of these teams, you can see where they might want to consider bringing in a quarterback with more experience. Off-field issues aside, Kaepernick has 58 NFL starts under his belt.
