WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W. Va. — New Orleans Saints rookie safety Vonn Bell has watched the Green Bay Packers closely the past couple years to see one of his "closest friends," fellow safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, perform.
While watching the Packers last year, Bell saw another young safety — 2015 first-round pick Damarious Randall — play a significant role at cornerback. Randall was Green Bay's primary nickel cornerback, using his speed and coverage skills to contribute as a rookie.
When the Packers drafted Randall, they already had their presumed starting safety tandem with Clinton-Dix and Morgan Burnett.
