If you watched Sunday night's 49ers-Seahawks game, you know football can come down to impossibly thin margins. If Jacob Hollister were an inch taller, the Seahawks have a first-round bye in the NFL playoffs. If they weren't down to Marshawn Lynch and Travis Homer as their running backs, they probably don't have trouble substituting on the 1-yard line and don't take a brutal delay of game penalty. If Pete Carroll doesn't decide to use his final two timeouts with the clock stopped on the prior series, Seattle can just call timeout and make all the subs it wants.
