The New Orleans Saints made a bombshell free agent signing a year ago, inking longtime New York Jets linebacker Demario Davis to a three-year, $24 million contract. The 30-year old was immediately named a team captain after his first training camp in black and gold, and was recently named the Saints’ defensive MVP during an annual luncheon reflecting on the 2018 season. That’s quite a return on the Saints’ investment.
And few observers have hyped Davis up as well as NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger. Baldinger highlighted Davis for his performance against his old team in the Saints’ third preseason game, featuring the linebacker in his popular “Baldy’s Breakdowns” video series on Twitter.
