After calling up Lil’Jordan Humphrey from the practice squad earlier this week, the Saints made a few more roster moves on Friday, Sep. 20. The most prominent of them was the release of seventh-round draft pick Alizé Mack, the tight end out of Notre Dame. Taking his place on the practice squad is defensive tackle Taylor Stallworth who had been released earlier in the week.
And then there’s the suddenly interesting case of Mitchell Loewen. ESPN’s Saints beat writer Mike Triplett reported Friday that Loewen has changed jersey numbers to from 70 to 88.
