The NFL trade deadline is Oct. 29. There are still moves the Saints could make after that but not as part of a trade for a player with another team. Taking stock of areas where the Saints could potentially use some help with eyes toward a playoff run, there really aren’t many holes.
Wide receiver is an obvious issue and has been since Brandin Cooks was traded following the 2016 Season. Ted Ginn hasn’t been the consistent deep threat Cooks was and that’s left a large gap in the Saints’ passing game. Cornerback could use a little depth and, depending on the health of Alvin Kamara, running back could be a position of weakness.
