Rumors of the New Orleans Pelicans possibly being awarded the 2017 All Star Festivities have sparked the Bayou area.
The fans are not wasting time getting excited, even if nothing has become official. It would be the first All-Star Game in New Orleans since 2014, just a three year difference. The NBA seems to love the idea of excitement at the Smoothie King Center, but there’s something that did not go well last time.
One of the biggest disappointments of the 2014 All-Star Show was the NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Before last year’s duel between Minnesota Timberwolves guard Zach LaVine and Orlando Magic big Aaron Gordon, the Dunk Contest had quite a spell of lackluster showings.
