CLEVELAND – Hoping to ensure that Tyreke Evans’ second half of the regular season goes more smoothly than the past few weeks have, New Orleans has decided to have the guard sit out the remaining four games prior to the All-Star break, including tonight against the Cavaliers. Evans (right knee tendinitis) has not played since Jan. 25 vs. Houston, missing the past five games.
“We’re probably going to hold him out until after the All-Star break,” Alvin Gentry said during pregame at Quicken Loans Arena. “That gives him a situation where he has almost two weeks where he can rehab it and hopefully get it back.
