1.Was the defensive problems more about the preseason, the Pelicans or the Bulls?
In game one against Chicago, New Orleans managed to give up 113 points. They seemed to be in neutral for a majority of the game defensively.
They didn’t seem to respect Chicago’s scoring ability, and it showed with how loose they played the Bulls three-point shooters. There were also more than enough communication errors spread out throughout the game.
The Bulls went on to shoot 45 percent from three, and 50 percent overall from the field which is a high clip for even the best of teams.
