In a night of ends that seemed inevitable, the end that involved the New Orleans Pelicans collapsing to the Spurs late in the fourth quarter seemed among the most unavoidable. As my best friend and I watched the Pelicans squander their lead from section 102, nothing came as a surprise.
We’ve all seen that ending before, and we’ll all see that ending again. Inevitability is a tricky thing. From one perspective, nothing can be a sure thing, but there are instances when you know in your gut a certain outcome will undoubtedly happen.
There are times that life seems to be in on the joke, times that it seemingly makes an effort to teach you lessons relating to a current crisis through experiences unrelated to the conflict.
