On a recent episode of NBA Today, the panel discussed ESPN's power rankings of the best offseasons across the NBA, and the New Orleans Pelicans were ranked 26th. Instantly, two members of the panel came to the defense of Joe Dumars, Zion Williamson, and the Pelicans front office. First, it was a former Pelican, Kendrick Perkins, who said this.
"I talked to Zion's agent...and he told me that Zion is on the right path."
Perkins' comments were then followed up by Marc Spears expressing how unique it was to see Zion at summer league sitting with his GM and just talking.
