Well, just what in the hell was that???
The New Orleans Pelicans smoked the Houston Rockets Friday night in the Blender, beating one of the NBA’s best teams by a 128-112 margin. The Pelicans scored 36 points in the first, a season-high for the opening quarter, and Houston offered little resistance the rest of the way. The Pels led by as many as 23 but the Rox did manage to get within 11 about halfway through the 4th.
Solomon Hill was the no-doubt, A+ star of the night for the Pelicans, draining four early 3-pointers, playing good defense all over the place with position-based work and deflections, and driving with super-aggressive attacks at the basket and passing; he even made 8-of-9 free throws.
