Dante Cunningham’s value to an NBA team has never been accurately measured in statistics alone, but there is one number next to his name from 2015-16 that stands apart from the rest of the entire New Orleans roster: 80 games played (the next-best tally is Alonzo Gee’s 73). The proud Villanova University product has rarely missed games due to injury throughout his pro career – appearing in 78 or more games four separate times, as well as 64 of a possible 66 during the lockout-shortened 2011-12 campaign – a valuable trait.
