BROOKLYN – Ryan Anderson is traveling with the team on its current three-game Eastern Conference road trip, even though he’s very unlikely to play, but the New Orleans forward will visit a specialist in Philadelphia on Monday afternoon. Anderson needs further medical opinion on the sports hernia injury that threatens to force him to miss what’s left of the 2015-16 regular season. Anderson has not been ruled out yet, but his status will center largely on the MRI and prognosis he receives tomorrow. Surgery is one option that may be considered.
“I don’t know what he’s going to recommend, but he’s done a lot of surgeries,” Anderson said of the physician in the City of Brotherly Love.
