Ryan Anderson places sixth in voting for Sixth Man of the Year

For long stretches of the 2015-16 NBA regular season, the offensive combination of Ryan Anderson and Jrue Holiday was the most dangerous reserve pairing in the league, capable of going for 20-plus points on any night, despite coming off the bench. On Tuesday, both New Orleans Pelicans garnered recognition for their performance as second-unit players this season.

Anderson (17.0 points per game, 59 appearances off the bench in 66 games) finished in sixth place in the league’s Sixth Man of the Year award vote, receiving four first-place votes from a nationwide panel. Holiday (16.8 ppg, 42 appearances off the bench out of 65 games) essentially tied for 16th, picking up a single third-place vote.
