Over the last few months there have been countless reports that the New Orleans Pelicans and veteran front office official and Louisianan native Joe Dumars had been talking about Dumars potentially joining the organization. While nothing official had happened since the reports started the feeling that Dumars joining the Pelicans front office has become stronger over the last few weeks.
According to Ken Berger of CBS Sports, Dumars has been in the ear of Pelicans owner Tom Benson recently and may have played a part in today’s firing of Monty Williams.
