The New Orleans Pelicans are soon going to be synonymous with injuries. With seasons full of poorly timed bruises and years lost in tweaked ankles, the hits keep coming.
This year it was offseason injuries to Solomon Hill and Frank Jackson. Then Rajon Rondo became the latest victim after he suffered a sports hernia in the Pelicans second game of the preseason.
After initially being regarded as a non-issue, the injury obviously lingered in a negative way causing Rondo to see a specialist on Monday.
After news didn’t come quickly on Monday, it was OK to infer that the news would not be great when it came.
