Chris Haynes of ESPN announced earlier today that the New Orleans Pelicans have signed Quinn Cook to a two-year deal.
With his second 10-day contract expiring before tonight’s game against the Golden State Warriors, the Pelicans had to sign Cook for at least the rest of the year or let him walk.
Although the terms have yet to be announced, Cook’s deal is probably identical to the one inked by Jordan Crawford, a two-year partially guaranteed contract. In essence, it will pay Cook his minimum for the rest of this season and then next year the Pelicans can decide to keep or waive him by a certain set date.
