For the first time since the season began, it appears there is a decent chance New Orleans forward Quincy Pondexter will be in uniform for a game. On Tuesday, the Pelicans announced that Pondexter’s status has been upgraded to questionable, which in general terms means there is a 50-50 chance for a player to play. New Orleans (11-22) hosts Dallas at 7 p.m. Wednesday, attempting to finish off a 3-1 head-to-head season-series victory over the Mavericks.
Pondexter, who arrived in New Orleans last January via a trade with Memphis, was a key factor in turning around the Pelicans’ 2014-15 season.
