ORLANDO – With only two preseason games remaining, Alvin Gentry vowed to treat Wednesday’s game vs. Orlando and Friday’s home tilt against Miami similar to a regular season contest. Pelicans-Magic may not have always looked like a regular season affair in terms of quality of play, but it included the type of late-game drama you don’t often see in mid-October. After New Orleans built a lead at halftime and through three quarters, Orlando surged back, but the Pelicans rallied in the final minute to force overtime. The Magic scored nine of the first 13 points of the extra period, finally bringing an end to the preseason matchup.
