Preseason postgame: Kings 107, Pelicans 98

Kings (5-1), Pelicans (2-2)

LEXINGTON – New Orleans may be without an exceptionally large contingent of players due to injury at this stage of preseason, but the Pelicans still had an ample amount of offensive talent in uniform Saturday. Behind their pair of high-scoring power forwards, Anthony Davis (19 points) and Ryan Anderson (20 points), the Pelicans held the upper hand over Sacramento for much of the game inside Rupp Arena, but the Kings took over in the second half. Playing in their final preseason game, the Kings and head coach George Karl relied on a player rotation similar to what he’ll use in the regular season – a far cry from what New Orleans’ Alvin Gentry put on the floor.
