Thunder (40-14), Pelicans (20-33)
OKLAHOMA CITY – New Orleans’ two best players in recent weeks, Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday, matched the Oklahoma City duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook nearly shot for shot Thursday. Unfortunately for the Pelicans, stellar performances from a pair of players weren’t nearly enough to prevail in one of the NBA’s toughest venues for visiting teams. The Thunder outscored the Pelicans by at least four points in every quarter, gradually building a commanding lead. New Orleans headed into the extended All-Star break with its biggest margin of defeat in 2015-16, after winning its previous games.
