Suns (12-16), Pelicans (7-19)
PHOENIX – It said much of what you needed to know about New Orleans’ offensive performance Friday that Eric Gordon shot 2 of 11 from the field – yet still was the Pelicans’ leading scorer for nearly the entire game. Playing in an arena where they’ve rarely had success in recent years, excluding a November win, the Pelicans couldn’t get untracked on offense throughout the ESPN-televised game. New Orleans finished at just 36.6 percent from the field and 4/21 (18.2 percent) from three-point range. Also hurting the cause were 21 turnovers, leading to 20 Phoenix points.
