Pelicans (5-10), Hawks (9-5)
ATLANTA – When Anthony Davis went crashing into the Philips Arena stands about three rows deep during the first quarter – forcing him to exit Tuesday’s game – you may have thought New Orleans was in trouble against a very good Atlanta team. You would’ve been completely wrong. Instead of faltering without their three-time All-Star, the Pelicans turned a small lead into a dominating road blowout. New Orleans piled up 66 points in the first half and approached the century mark with still a quarter of basketball remaining. Davis eventually returned to the game to start the fourth quarter; by then the Pelicans led 95-71.
