Pelicans (22-34), Suns (17-39)
PHOENIX – The fourth quarter has not been an enjoyable one for New Orleans on the road much of the season, part of why the Pelicans have struggled more often than not in away games. On Monday, however, New Orleans delivered in the clutch, coming up with enough big plays to post a third narrow head-to-head victory over Phoenix this season.
The Pelicans trailed by 12 points in the first half but crept back in it and edge the Suns in the final minute. Anthony Davis had the go-ahead hoop with 40 seconds remaining, giving New Orleans a 109-108 edge.
