Postgame: Pelicans 110, Lakers 102

Pelicans (30-49), Lakers (16-63)

Kobe Bryant’s final game in New Orleans initially appeared destined to be a memorable one for him, particularly when the Hall of Fame lock poured in 14 first-quarter points. After those first dozen minutes of action, however, the 20-year veteran never scored again Friday. At the other end of the floor, the Pelicans scored repeatedly. After trailing 27-24 through a quarter, New Orleans surged to a 63-40 advantage in the middle quarters, running away from Los Angeles en route to a decisive victory. The Pelicans led by as many as 25 points in the second half.
