Pelicans (10-20), 76ers (7-21)

PHILADELPHIA – Amid a sizeable crowd of Philadelphia fans much more optimistic than you might expect from a group again backing a last-place team, one supporter in the lower bowl Tuesday held up a sign that read “The Process > The Brow.”

Not on this night.

After a sluggish start by himself and his team, Anthony Davis (31 points, 16 rebounds) shifted into high gear in the second quarter, as New Orleans poured in 42 points and turned what had been a 10-point deficit into a 13-point lead. The visitors maintained a comfortable cushion for much of the second half, though the 76ers threatened a bit midway through the fourth quarter.
