Postgame: Pelicans 102, Clippers 98

Pelicans (13-21), Clippers (22-12)

On a night when emotions were running a bit hot – Alvin Gentry was ejected from a game for the first time in his two seasons as New Orleans’ head coach – the Pelicans emerged Wednesday with one of their best wins of 2016-17. In a seesaw affair, New Orleans trailed by a point entering the fourth quarter but outplayed Los Angeles over the next several minutes, despite Anthony Davis having to sit due to four personal fouls. The Clippers were up 77-76 through three periods, but the Pelicans used contributions from an array of players to eventually build a 10-point advantage, mostly with Davis watching and waiting to check back in the Western Conference matchup.
