LOS ANGELES – Two games in Los Angeles, two bitter defeats. After falling by three points in overtime Sunday against the Clippers, the Pelicans dropped a four-point decision to the Lakers on Tuesday. New Orleans led for the majority of the Western Conference meeting, going up by as many as 10 points, but Los Angeles held the upper hand in the fourth quarter. The Lakers won the final period by a 28-20 margin. New Orleans was in front after each of the first three quarters, with Los Angeles struggling mightily to find its shooting touch.
