Postgame: Knicks 95, Pelicans 87

Knicks (5-6), Pelicans (1-9)

NEW YORK – In all three games of New Orleans’ Eastern Conference road trip, the Pelicans led or were tied at halftime, but the end result was the same: a frustrating defeat. New Orleans was up 44-42 at intermission Sunday in Madison Square Garden, but this time was outscored 53-43 by a much improved New York team. Despite a prolific offensive performance by Anthony Davis, the Pelicans only built a slim early edge on the scoreboard, before the Knicks held the upper hand in the fourth quarter. It was tied at 68 prior to New York gaining control late.
