Kings (23-32), Pelicans (21-34)
SACRAMENTO – An eventful Sunday evening at Golden 1 Center included a series of technical fouls on players and coaches, a New Orleans ejection and some intense basketball between a pair of Western Conference clubs trying to remain in playoff contention. Sacramento eventually emerged victorious, turning what was a 13-point first-half deficit into a double-digit second-half advantage and narrow victory.
The Kings led 93-89 with 4:19 left in regulation, then made numerous key stops on defense to stretch their lead up to a multi-possession margin. Sacramento moved two games ahead of New Orleans in the standings and also clinched the head-to-head series, up 2-0 with only one meeting remaining (March 31 in Louisiana).
