SALT LAKE CITY – During one third-quarter fast-break sequence Monday, Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday glided in for a lefty layup, but the shot circled all the way around the rim and fell off. No problem, because Anthony Davis was there to clean it up. Only thing was, he also saw his putback spin around the goal and miss. It was that kind of night for New Orleans in the second game of a back-to-back set, with the Pelicans unable to locate their shooting touch. The visitors shot a season-worst 35.7 percent from the field and needed a couple final-minute buckets to avoid their lowest point total of 2016-17.
