Postgame: Celtics 104, Pelicans 97

Celtics (46-32), Pelicans (29-49)

BOSTON – On paper, New Orleans doesn’t have a lot to play for with seven days remaining in the regular season. Meanwhile, Boston has plenty at stake, including possible homecourt advantage in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Despite the difference in what was on the line Wednesday, the interconference clubs played a tightly-contested game that wasn’t decided until the final three minutes. After it was tied at 93, Boston reeled off a critical 6-0 run to regain control, after the Celtics led by as many as 16 points in the third quarter.
