Early on, the Pelicans showed solid effort. They were executing, hustling for loose balls and Golden State was held to one shot per possession. However, that soon changed as the Warriors never let up and would go on to finish the first quarter on a strong note.
Whenever the Pelicans had momentary lapses in scoring, rebounding or judgement, the Warriors pounced all night. Through the first three quarters of the game, Golden State had a commanding 88-67 lead, and it appeared that the Pelicans would go quietly into the night.
Well, as New Orleans has done so many times this year, they decided to surprise the fans one more time this season.
